The Missoula Marathon seminar series has something new to offer you in February - the Panel of Inspiration! There are those amongst us that made decisions to overhaul their life style in a big way, and did it. If you're one of those all-or-nothing personalities, in or out, doing it or not, then these are the athletes for you. These people make The Biggest Losers look like wimps, because they have done it on their own - without a team coaching their every moment and zillions of viewers offering encouragement and sending fan email. Some have quit the major addiction of cigarettes. Some of them have lost truly amazing amounts of weight. But they've all made the commitment to get healthy and the Missoula Marathon was one tool in their kit. If you are looking for something or someone to inspire you to start training, look no further than this panel of speakers. Come meet them all and hear their inspiring stories. Being as this is the running club website and you're probably a runner or member, this is a bit of preaching to the choir. But if you're lying on the couch and using the website to THINK about getting going, then I'm in the right spot. This is also great one to invite your non-running and "I can't" friends to witness! Everybody loves to hear success stories and there are four of them right here. The seminar at the Good Food Store is free but come early because seating is limited.

"Long Distance" Running Film

Run Wild Missoula and the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival bring you the short film "Long Distance," screening at 12:15 p.m. at the Wilma Theatre. The film will play with three other shorts during the 10-day festival. Run Wild Missoula members can show their membership cards and get $1 off admission. Film synopsis: Abiyot runs for money-- every weekend at a different race. He left Ethiopia to try and re-launch his running career in the US. With every aspect of his daily routine centered on his training, his footsteps not only dictate the rhythm of his life, but also become the pervasive rhythm of the film.
