Run Wild Missoula "M" Trail Maintenance
10/09/2010
Saturday, October 9, 10 a.m., "M" Trail
Run Wild Missoula's new Trails Committee decided that the club ought to choose one or two trail stewardship projects
each year, as a way of giving back to the local resources we impact as runners.
We choose the M Trail as our first trail!
Details:
Saturday October 9, 2010. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Meet at the base of the M Trail.
Work will include carrying buckets of gravel up or down the M trail, cutting brush and placing it over closed, illegal trail cuts, seeding over damaged areas, and placing signs.
The project is co sponsored by the UM Student Guild of the Society for Ecological Restoration and the Friends of the M Trail. If you are out of town or otherwise and unable to attend, I encourage you to send a $10 (or more!) donation to:
Friends of the M Trail
UM Foundation #2AD
Brantley Hall, University of Montana
Missoula, MT 59812
Make your check payable to UM Foundation/Friends of the M Trail. Funds help purchase seeds, trail building materials, signs, etc. I hope to see you there! If you have ideas for future stewardship projects, let us know.
