The Missoula Marathon is Run Wild Missoula's signature event. The race was recently voted by Runner's World magazine Overall Best Marathon in the country in 2010.

"Being a member of RWM is important to me because it connects me to running community of Missoula, the state and even beyond. I have found the members to be very supportive and encouraging, no matter what level a person is at currently. What matters most is that we are all out there participating in a positive activity and trying to get the most out of our bodies/minds. I find the newsletters heartwarming, humorous and motivating. The friendships I have formed are treasures and they have come to mean more than the act of running. Running is the common thread that initially connected us, hopefully the friendships made will last longer than the ability to run."
