Run the bottom of the Glacial Lake: July 10, 2011

Everything that Missoula is -- our water, our geography, our lifestyle, is based upon the fact that once Missoula was Lake Missoula, a massive glacial lake.  The course you follow on race day is the course Lake Missoula took when it erupted and carved its path through the rock towards the ocean.  Click on the link if you're a geography nut and want to read more.

The Missoula Marathon is the brainchild of a group of local, dedicated members of Run Wild Missoula who want to share the area's beauty and Missoula's unique feel with runners from all over.  Run Wild Missoula is a non-profit, 501(c)3 running club.
