Run Wild Missoula Contributed Over $20K to Other Organizations in 2012

The Run Wild Missoula Board of Directors recently approved contributions of $1,000 to the Middle School Cross Country Program and $1,500 to the Grant Creek Trails Project, fulfilling the running club’s annual charitable giving budget. Run Wild Missoula has contributed over $20,000 to other organizations in 2012.

Run Wild Missoula focuses its support of projects and programs in the community that help fulfill its mission to support and promote running and walking in the community. The nonprofit running club has also donated race proceeds from several annual events.

  • The Catch’Em If You Can 5K in February donated $3,306.67 to the Hellgate High School Cross Country Team. 
  • The Missoula Marathon in July allocated funds to Opportunity Resources ($1,250), Destination Missoula ($4,250), Hellgate Amateur Radio Club ($1,250), Hellgate Booster Club ($1,250) and Sentinel Girls Cross Country ($500). 
  • Proceeds from September’s Missoula Mile benefited Partnership Health Center with a $4,268.92 contribution used for prostate cancer screenings. 
  • The Pumpkin Run in October contributed $2,157.55 to the Missoula Food Bank.

Run Wild Missoula also gave Missoula Youth Track $1,000 and Five Valleys Land Trust $1,500 in 2012.
