Beginner Running 101

Perhaps you are coming back from a long absence from running and need to build up slowly.

If you are nodding your head yes, then this class is for you!  Join us for a fun training program that will start with running/walking intervals and gradually work up to completing the Pumpkin Run on October 22, 2017.  This is truly a beginner’s class so don’t be intimidated.  Pace doesn’t matter.  Your goal will be to complete a 5k run, and our goal will be to inspire you to keep on going long after this training class is finished.

Class starts Wednesday, September 6, at 6:00 p.m. and continues until the Pumpkin Run on October 22, 2017.  We will meet weekly, on Saturdays at 8 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6 p.m., at the Run Wild Missoula Office (304 N Higgins Ave - basement of Runner's Edge).

At our first class on Wednesday, September 6, at 6:00 p.m., we will have an informational session and then go for our first run. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes!

Run Wild Missoula also offers a Get in Shape class.  That class trains people to adopt Run-Walk-Run® as a long-term fitness strategy.  In contrast, Beginner Running 101 begins by using walk breaks between run segments, the objective of the class is to run continuously.
