This class is now FULL - please check our website for future class offerings.

Run Wild Missoula is once again offering the Advanced Spring Trail Running Class designed to get you ready for a season of strong and healthy trail running.  This class will meet twice a week, with a Thursday morning workout and a Sunday morning long run.  This class caters toward the intermediate to advanced trail runner and is designed to get you ready for spring trail races such as Runner's Edge The Bitterroot Runoff and 11 Miles to Paradise; and, Run Wild Missoula's Pengelly Double & Single Dips.  This is a great opportunity to start the year off strong and ready for a fun trail running season!

This class is limited to 30 people; we will not maintain a wait list.  Run Wild Missoula membership is required.

We understand life happens; however, we ask that you plan to attend at least 6 of 8 Sunday classes, and 6 of 9 Thursday classes.  If you are unable to make this time commitment, we suggest not signing up for the class and allowing another member who is able to commit to take the spot.

Who should take this class:

  • Intermediate to advanced trail runners, who have the desire to get better at trail running and have goals for their upcoming trail running season;
  • Participants should have experience running on trails, be able to run a single mile in 8 minutes, and run for up to 90 minutes in duration.  If this is too much for you at this moment, please check out one of Run Wild Missoula's other Trail Classes (more information available here).

Thanks for helping us  give back to the open spaces we are so lucky to have in our backyards!

Class instructors:

  • Forrest Boughner: Forrest is returning for his third year of leading the Advance Trail Class.  He has spent the last few years exploring the mountains around Montana, working at Runner's Edge, and coaching trail runners.  Forrest also owns and operates a trail guiding company, Alpine Running Guides.
  • Adam Rasmussen - Adam is a Missoula transplant, but he might as well be a local. When he isn't working on his new business, Sentinel Craftsmen, you can find Adam running dicey mountain trails, enjoying a house pie at Biga, or throwing back a pint of local brew with friends.
