Trail Running Class: Beginner Fall 2019

Date: 09/05/2019
Cost: FREE

Beginner Fall Trail Classes are now FULL.  Please check our website for other class opportunities.

Do you want to add trail running to your routine, but aren't sure where to go or the difference between the trails and roads?  This class is intended for beginner trail runners who want to run between 4-6 miles and gain some elevation while power hiking.  There are no pace restrictions - the group will stick together.  While you don't have to be fast, it is expected that you are jogging/running instead of walking unless gaining elevation.

Run Wild Missoula is choosing NOT to charge for this class - in doing so, the hope is that participants will pass along what they consider the class to be worth in a donation to the Five Valleys Land Trust!  The donation to FVLT will aid with the development of area trails and open spaces. Thanks for helping us give back to the open spaces we are so lucky to have in our backyards!

Each Class is 6 Weeks:

  • Run Wild Missoula Membership Required
  • Class is limited to 20 participants; a waitlist will not be maintained.
  • Participants should expect to run 4-6 miles with 500-1,000ft of elevation gain each week

There are 2 Class Sessions: To make spaces available to as many members as possible, please only register for one class session.

    • Vicky & Colleen: Tuesdays at 6:00 PM from 9/3-10/8
    • Amberleigh & Katie: Thursdays at 6:00 PM from 9/12-10/17

This is a great class for those training for fall trail runs like Run Wild Missoula's Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble (November 3rd).
