Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble

Run Wild Missoula is pleased to announce that the Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble 15K Trail Race is back for 2018!  The event will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:00 am.

**The race is capped at 300 participants; there will not be a wait list; there will not be an option to transfer, refund, or defer to 2019.**

Don't miss the opportunity to take part in the only organized trail race on Mt. Jumbo.  As part of this exclusive event, you will experience stunning landscapes as you traverse the winter home of the Mt. Jumbo elk herd.  The Mount Jumbo Wildlife Management Area closes to all recreation on December 1st - take this chance to practice responsible recreation on Missoula's Conservation & Open Space Lands and welcome the wildlife herds back to Jumbo!

 

The Elk Ramble is excited to be the final race in the 2018 Treasure State Trail Series!  Promoted by RWM's Montana Trail Crew, this series aims to introduce Montana trail runner's to the diverse and amazing trails that can be found throughout the Treasure State.  More information about the series can be found HERE.

There will not be a wait list.  There will not be an option to defer to 2019.

Packet Pickup:

  • Friday, November 3 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Run Wild Missoula (304 N Higgins; basement of Runner’s Edge)
  • Saturday, November 4 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM at the race start (Hellgate soccer fields)

Time Limit:  The course will be open for 3 hours, 15 minutes, from the 10:00 AM start through 1:15 PM

Age Groups & Awards: Information Coming Soon!

  • 19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Aid Stations:  Each aid station will have toilets and water

  • Mile 1.75
  • Mile 4
  • Mile 8.25

Course: Start and finish at the Hellgate soccer fields on Lincoln Hills Road.  15K(ish) trail race on City Conservation & Open Space Lands in the North Zone of Mount Jumbo.
