Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble 15K

Run Wild Missoula, in partnership with Missoula Parks & Recreation, is excited to announce the first ever trail run on City Open Space, Montana FWP, and U.S. Forest Service land.  The Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. and is capped at 300 race registrations.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to take part in the only organized trail run on Mt. Jumbo. As part of this exclusive event, you'll experience stunning landscapes and acquaint yourself with the only open space land within the Missoula City Limits that provides a home for an elk herd during the winter.  Mount Jumbo was purchased in large part to preserve the area as winter elk range and responsible recreation is a key component to maintain the health of this elk herd.  As most Missoulians know, the Mount Jumbo Wildlife Management Area is closed to all recreation starting December 1st of each year. Register for the Elk Ramble Run and help us welcome the wildlife herds back to Mount Jumbo and do our part as runners to help conserve this valuable Open Space for recreation and wildlife use.
