Course/Race Information:
Both courses are OPEN to traffic!  Race participants must always be aware of traffic and yield to cars unwilling to stop for runners.  While there will be numerous volunteers and lots of signage all over the course, runners must still be cautious at intersections!  Listen to the course marshals’ instructions!

This race takes place in Missoula, Montana.  In March.  What does that mean to runners?  It means you never know what kind of weather we’re going to have or what the weather will decide to drop on the streets as it passes through, i.e., snow, sleet, rain, etc.  Be prepared for potentially slippery surfaces, potholes (watch for puddles!), uneven surfaces, and a couple of railroad tracks!

Both the 7-miler and 5K courses will once again run through the Northside neighborhoods.  See course map at bottom of this page!

7 Milers: Please note, due to course restrictions, there is a time limit for this race.  You must be able to complete the course in 1 hour and 40 minutes or less (that’s about a 14 minute/mile pace).  There will be a water stop on Rogers St (the road to/from the Missoula Cemetery).  For the safety of all, when running west towards the cemetery, please Do Not cross Rogers until a course marshal directs you to do so.  Thank You!!

Kids’ Dash:  We are again offering a FREE 400 meter Kids’ Dash for your lads and lassies 10 years of age and younger, at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 14th.  Participants will receive a small prize.  Participants in the FREE Kids' Dash will NOT receive a race shirt.  A parent or legal guardian may register their child online through March 13th, at 8:59 a.m.; in person on Friday, March 13th, from 12 - 6 p.m.; or, in person on Saturday, March 14th, from 7 – 8:30 a.m., at the Run Wild Missoula office (basement of Runner's Edge, 304 N. Higgins, enter through alley).

Registration & Packet Pick Up Info:
•    There are NO additional fees for registering online.

•    Packet pickup and in-person registration is available the day before the race and on race morning! Early packet pick up will be held at the Run Wild Missoula offices (basement of Runner’s Edge, 304 N Higgins) on Friday, March 13, 12 - 6 p.m. You may pick up packets for other race participants at that time, as well.

•    Race day packet pick up and registration will be available at the Runner’s Edge (basement-- please use the alley entrance prior to store opening) from 7 - 8:30 a.m. NOTE: because these are chip-timed races and we like to keep our sanity, we must cut off race day registration at 8:30 a.m. SHARP, so plan accordingly!

Entry Fees:  Run Wild Missoula Members receive a $2 discount!

  • Registration: $20 by February 28 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Late registration: $22 March 1 - 13 at 8:59 a.m.
