Run for the Trees


9:45 a.m. – Tree planting by Mayor John Engen
10:00 a.m. – Start 10K Race
10:15 a.m. 
 Start 5K Race
11:15 a.m. – 1-mile Fun Run

Outdoor Fun Fair all morning

Run Wild Missoula and Missoula Parks & Recreation are partnering together to offer the Missoula community the annual Run for the Trees, on Sunday, April 12th.  Come show your support for Missoula’s Urban Parks & Forests.  The celebration kicks off at 9:45, with Mayor John Engen planting a tree, and continues with the 10K race beginning at 10:00 a.m. The 5K race will begin at 10:15 a.m. Registration is FREE for Kids 10 & Under in both the 5K & 10K.  Kids of all ages are welcome to register for the FREE 1-mile Fun Run, which begins at 11:15 a.m.  All three races include a manual wheelchair division (handcycles are not permitted).  An outdoor fair, as well as family activities, will be occurring in Silver Park all morning!

All paid participants will receive a tree sapling, courtesy of the Good Food Store, a commemorative t-shirt and chip timing.

Registration Information:
Run for Trees 10K & 5K -
$20 thru 11:59 p.m. March 28, 2015.   Increases to $25 March 30th – race day.  Kids 10 and under FREE (no t-shirt or tree sapling available with free entry)!

Run for the Trees 1-mile Fun Run – get the kids involved with this FREE 1-mile, untimed, fun run! (No shirt or tree sapling for this event.

All three races includes a manual wheelchair division (handcycles are not permitted).

Race day registration: available Sunday, April 12th, from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. at Silver Park.

Packet Pickup:
Saturday, April 11th, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Currents (600 Cregg Lane) & Sunday, April 12th, 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at Silver Park.

Special awards to the top 3 men and top 3 women in both the 5K and 10K races.

Optional Donation:  All registrants have the option to make a tax deductible, charitable donation to Trees For Missoula.
