Kick off your St. Patrick’s Day festivities with Run Wild Missoula at the Run for the Luck of It! On Saturday morning, March 16 walk or run 5k or 7 miles! But don’t forget your Little Leprechauns for the free kids dash. Let the beat of the Celtic Dragon Pipe band help you finish strong, Then indulge in classic Irish nourishment like bangers & mash along with beverages from Big Sky Brewing in your custom Run for the Luck of it! stein.

Per Run Wild Missoula event policies, dogs are not allowed to participate in the event, with the exception of ADA Service Animals.

Pre-Race Packet Pickup on Friday, March 14 from 3:00 – 5:45PM basement of Runner’s Edge (304 N Higgins)

Race Day Packet Pickup Saturday, March 15 from 7:45 – 8:45 AM at the Race Start (Missoula Fairgrounds; 1101 South Avenue Ave)

  • 5K: 9:15 AM

Post-Race Festivities: Fairgrounds Culinary Building

Parking Location: Race participants should park East of the Fairgrounds. DO NOT PARK AT GLACIER ICE RINK.

5K Course Map The 5k is a loop course that starts at the Missoula County Fairgrounds, travels around Playfair Park, through the Bancroft Pond Nature area and loops back through Spartan Park, ending back at the Missoula County Fairgrounds.

7 Mile Course Map The 7 mile course follows along the 5k course with an additional out and back section through the Lewis and Clark neighborhood and a lollipop loop out to the University District before returning to the Fairgrounds.

Kids Dash: We are again offering a FREE 400 meter Kid’s Dash for your lads and lassies 10 years of age and younger! Participants in the FREE Kid’s Dash will NOT receive race swag. A parent or legal guardian MUST register their child for the run.

Be prepared for potentially slippery surfaces, potholes (watch for puddles!), uneven surfaces, and loose sand and gravel!
