Run Wild Missoula
Sunday Long Run
Sunday Long Run will return starting January 11 and will run until the start of the Missoula Marathon Training Class on March 1!
Sunday Long Run (SLR) meets at 8:00 AM in the basement of Runner’s Edge. These runs are self-supported, with looped courses that allow participants to stop back at the (warm/cool and dry!) basement for aid as needed. Whether you’re training for an upcoming race or simply looking to build mileage with the support of a group, SLR is a great way to stay consistent and connect with fellow runners—no matter the season.
Meet Sunday Long Run Program Leader, Tim!
Tim Mosbacher is an experienced marathoner, having run 69 marathons around the United States and abroad. He is a former collegiate runner as well as a former high school cross country and track coach. After completing two “disappointing” marathons, in 2009 Tim joined the RWM Missoula Marathon training class. Three marathons later, Tim led the RWM Boston Training Group for a number of years. Tim has completed a marathon in every state, with all of those completed in a Boston Marathon qualifying time. He is a member of the 50 States Marathon Finisher Club, 50 States Sub 4 Hour Finisher Club, Boston 50 Running Club, and the Marathon Maniacs Club.
Tim believes running is about community, consistency, and creating opportunities for people to stay active together throughout the year. As the longtime leader of Run Wild Missoula’s Saturday Breakfast Run, he enjoys bringing runners of all abilities together each week to share miles, conversation, and encouragement. Tim is passionate about helping people build lifelong, healthy habits and believes that having a welcoming group to run with makes it easier—and a lot more fun—to keep moving.
