We are so excited to add a 5K Trot to our line up of Turkey Day Runs!
Round up your flock for the Turkey Day 8K, 3K Family Fun Run, and NEW 5K! Run, walk, or waddle your way through Thanksgiving morning while supporting the Missoula Food Bank.
Last year, our Turkey Day flock helped contribute $13,000!

Turkey Day 3K is FREE for all ages (untimed):
All 3K participants MUST register
Race bib not included in registration.

Wednesday, November 25 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at RWM HQ; 125 E Main St.
Race Day Thursday, November 26 near the race start line (Campus Rec Parking Lot) from 8:00 AM – 9:15 AM.
Start/Finish Location: University of Montana Campus Rec Lot

8K & 3K – 9:30am (Both 8K & 3K start at the same time, same location)
5K – TBD
Please carpool! Free parking will be available on the UM Campus excluding: UM Campus Recreation Lot, Eddy Ave., and Maurice Ave.
*Per Run Wild Missoula event policies, dogs are not allowed to participate in the event with the exception of ADA Service Animals. Service animals must be on non-retractable, 6 foot or less leash.
8K, 5K & 3K Courses:
The Turkey Day 8K and 3K will begin at the same time and location! The 8k first runs the 3K loop and then continues on, but the events will begin together.
The 5K Trot course is coming soon!
The courses are open to strollers and walkers. NO DOGS PLEASE. There are no aid stations.
Turkey Day 8K & 5K (timed) participants receive:
- chip timing
- One-of-a-kind, exclusive BOCO winter hat made just for our Turkey Day runners!!
→ !! The first 300 3K participants will have the chance to buy Boco hats for $25 during registration !!
*3K Participants that purchase a BOCO Winter Hat can pick them up at packet pickup or morning of the race.
Overall Awards in the 8K Only!
Awards in the 8K are given to the overall top 3 female, male & non-binary winners in the form of Thanksgiving food goodies!
Run Wild Missoula acknowledges that for Indigenous peoples Thanksgiving is a day of mourning; a time to remember ancestral history and protest the oppression which they continue to experience today.
With that said, we encourage all participants to donate non-perishable food or monetary donations to the Missoula Food Bank.
Food donations can be placed directly in the Missoula Food Bank truck at the race start on race morning.
Let these miles be about expressing gratitude by enjoying the activity, the company and giving back to others in the process. Let’s set the tone for a thankful holiday season!
FOOD DRIVE
Run wild Missoula encourages all participants to donate non-perishable food or monetary donations to the Missoula Food Bank.
For every pound of non-perishable food donated as part of the run, Run Wild Missoula and our friends at YOUNG MAZDA MISSOULA will match that with a donation of $1 – up to $1,500 total.
Volunteer opportunities will open on October 29, stay tuned!
*All volunteers will get a coveted Turkey Day Beanie!!
