Join us for the 34th annual Run For The Trees!
Celebrate Missoula’s urban forests with Run Wild Missoula and Missoula Parks & Recreation in this beloved community tradition. Whether you’re racing, jogging, or cheering, come be part of a tree-mendous day outdoors with friends, family, and fellow runners.
5K & 10K
January 29 – March 25
- FREE Ages 13 & under
- $10 – Ages 14-18
- $25 – Ages 19 & over
March 26- April 11
- FREE Ages 13 & under
- $10 – Ages 14-18
- $30 – Ages 19 & over
1-Mile Fun Run: A FREE, untimed event. (no tree sapling or bib given for this event.)
- All ages are welcome to participate in the FREE 1-Mile Fun Run, but must register.
As outlined in the race waiver & acknowledgment, entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferrable, and non-deferrable. To view the RWM race cancellation policy, click here.
Per Run Wild Missoula event policies, dogs are not allowed to participate in the event, with the exception of ADA Service Animals.
Friday, April 10 from 3:00 – 5:45 PM at RWM HQ; 125 E Main St.
Saturday, April 11 from 9:00 – 9:45 AM at Race Start (Silver Park)
Bib pickup will end promptly at 9:45 AM
Start Times:
- 1-Mile Fun Run 9:30 AM
- 10K Course & 5K Course 10:00 AM
- This event will use a wave start.
Start/Finish Location: Silver Park; 700 Cregg Lane, Pavilion
Parking: Parking Map. Participants are encouraged to bike or carpool!
*Bike Valet!* – We’ll be offering a bike valet service for those who choose to bike to the start/finish line. Your bikes will be securely stored and monitored by volunteers throughout the event!
There is (1) aid station on the 10K course located on the UM Campus.
The courses are open to strollers and walkers. NO DOGS PLEASE.
Please note that the races will START & FINISH in the same location.
All participants will receive a tree sapling, courtesy of Trees for Missoula!

Trees for Missoula, a program of Climate Smart Missoula, is dedicated to promoting a healthy and sustainable urban forest through community planning, planting, stewardship, education and advocacy.
